Our department aims for enhancing quality of patient care not only in operation theatres and surgical intensive care unit but also beyond the purist ANAESTHESIA domain including preoperative patient status optimization and comprehensive patient follow up after early postoperative recovery. We periodically formulate new protocols and guidelines for proactive and continual improvement in clinical functioning. Thus, we want to clearly define, embrace and propagate the role of anaesthesiologists as 'Preoperative Physicians .

The department provides anaesthetic services for all major specialties. The operation theatres are well equipped with modern anaesthetic machines with adequate safety devices. All theatres have state of the art patient monitoring systems.
